Archaeological survey, office work, hiking and farm work during summer. Hot and dry 🏜
Break in is really quick because of the thin hide. It doesn't retain moisture the same way as most other leathers I have had experience with, especially in dry/hot conditions. Regular conditioning is required.
Good fit over all, I have a medium-high arch and a wide forefoot. Leo in this size has really formed well and is comfortable.
Grant Stone are really good value, stitching has held up really well, soles are hard wearing. Some small remnants of the plastic around the welt I assume was used to protect the upper through the build process, but can hardly complain.
Good, hard wearing, picks up stones in the lugs, has remained fairly flat as the midsole and sole are more robust than the uppers. Good traction for this type of boot, I feel steady on trail and over rocks.
