Gallun Olive Teton Stag
Time flies and these treated me well for the duration. I decided last year that I might as well splurge and work in boots that are a couple steps above my typical rotation on the brewery production floor. These saw it all and I didn't baby them much apart from brushing every couple weeks and using a beeswax based oil as an edge dressing for a little water resistance. My work setting isn't as hard on boots as some of the other trades out there. Mostly steam, grain goop, water spills and the occasional chemical splatter. Even still, this softer deer hide did take on some nicks and gouges from day to day stuff but after cleaning them up and brushing the dings blend in rather well. I didn't realize it at the time I decided on this MTO but these accompanied me on a major career transition, where I joined a startup company and opened a new brewery. I'm grateful that I invested in these to carry me through that transition.. they're now, by far, the finest boots I've ever laced up. Now I'm planning to retire them to casual duty for the long haul as a life long reminder of this year and it's trials, pains and successes. Congrats to y'all for the exceptional wear and tear I'm seeing on all these contest entries!!
