I own two pairs of Vibergs , natural chromexcel and colour 8 chromexcel. My favourite leathers are natural leathers .
I love my colour 8 vibergs but i mostly wear my naturals. I was searching for a pair of boots to use daily and rotate with my Vibergs natural .
I wanted a veg tan leather , plain toe and speedhoeks.
I was between this granststone or a pair of Parkhurst because I personally prefer stitchdow construction.
The last from Parkhurst stitchdow, the 618, seems odd to me, too wide in the forefoot and, this minerva leather although not natural is a light colour . Leather sole didn’t scare me thus I went for the Grantstone.
I’m very happy with the fit and shape and although i still think that cosmetically nothing beats the 2030 viberg last mostly in a plain toe shoe , this are close for my taste .
In resume , I choose mostly because of style and leather and, because at the moment of purchase weren’t any vibergs with a natural or light veg tan leather available.
Now that I have them and saw them in person, I don’t think I need a viberg alternative, they also have a beautiful shape and personality, have a top notch quality control and great construction, I’m sure with my use, they will last the same as my Vibergs and will become more beautiful and more mine with wear .
