This pair of JL Donkey Punchers in Natural CXL are developing a decent bit of character after 5 months of light/moderate wear 3-4 days/week. Looks back at the photos from October, the Natural CXL has definitely darkened quite a bit from a original pale tan-ish color to a nice light/medium/dark brown; the color seems to vary a bit on different parts of the boot. It also seems to have picked up quiet a bit of scuffs, mostly on the heels and toes. I love the LTT design and I'm quiet tickled by its funky name as well. I can definitely see this pair being in my boot rotation for a long time to come.

Fit pretty snugly 0.5 down with boot socks as a 7.5HTT/8.0HTB D Brannock size. It honestly feels more like a D width to me and you might need to go TTS if you have longer toes.

I wanted a logger style boot and though that Donkey Puncher was a rather amusing name for a boot. I'd also heard good things online about the quality of John Lofgren as a brand, when I had originally decided to purchase this pair.
I took advice from both the Blue Owl Workshop sizing guide, John Lofgren website, and the Stitchdown Discord group, before deciding to go 0.5 down from my bigger (HTT/HTB) Brannock size.
I ordered this pair online from Blue Owl Workshop during their 2024 Black Friday sale.
