More about this item

Non-folded perforated toe cap. 5 brass eyelets, 4 brass speed hooks. Leather laces. These have a leather midsole and toe plates. 160 degree folded upper and 360 degree sole stitching. Emil Rahmana Putra helped me figure out the details for my order and one special detail is that he signed the insoles for me. He took the first photos for me before they shipped, and his wife is the one wearing them in the first photo.

Why I own this

Style
Workplace Needs

I wanted something understated and beautiful, well finished, and something that ages well. I saw Winston boots and shoes, I thought they were gorgeous, and I knew I wanted Emil to make me a pair of boots. I knew I wanted to wear it everyday to the office but also wanted to feel good kicking around on the town too. I love how natural Horween ages and tells a story, so I knew I wanted that in my first Patina Thunderdome pair. Emil helped me with other details. I went with the toe taps to protect the longevity of the leather toe, and I just like that little detail. I like the comfort of well worn leather soles.

I took measurements of my foot and sent to Emil. I also gave him my brannock size and size in other boots that fit well. I told him I wanted them to fit like a glove, which they do. I wear
