Bought secondhand online to be used in the workshop. I wasn't exactly looking for GYW construction at that time, nor did I know about it. Bought it because it looked solid, and it looked good. I just didn't know yet how much.
I tried to liaise with Paraboot to have more info on the boot. Model name unknown but released in 2011, whole cut Nubuck leather for the upper, full calf lining, veg tan insole, rubber midsole, paraboot in house soft rubber outsole, on a Norwegian storm welt construction.
I wore them hard, most working days for 4 years. The upper hasn't budged. It took on a light blue patina, and scoffed at the shit it went through. I'm not proud of this, but I haven't brushed or conditioned them once either... as I said, I didn't know better.
I finally had them (partially) resoled, courtesy of old school french cobblers; and got my leather care kit on the way... hope to have them for many more years.
