55 last is a very comfortable fit for me. Length and width are ideal, no heel slip. Zero hot spots or pinching. A little soreness in the ankles, definitely a sturdy boot. The leather is very workmanlike. Very forgiving, even and consistent. Definitely doublestuff, waxy not shiny. Going to be a great everyday boot.
