White's Perry 8" Select

I wanted a moc toe work boot. It was between this and the redwing 875. I researched a lot and both seemed great but these seemed more functional (support and cushion) and the redwings almost seem more heritage. The leather on these is great. I bought the whites on sale for slightly cheaper as well.

I am dead on 12.5 D width on the brannock device. I also had the digital measurement where you step on the pad at the Red Wings store and it confirmed this size. Gym shoes are 13; dress shoes and boots are usually at 12 because 12.5 is a hard size to find. The website and a lot of the reviews recommended sizing down a half size. That’s what I did and I think, these boots are still a little big. The width fits great but they’re a little bit long. I have a kilty and a tongue pad and there’s still plenty of room. I wear a thick socks and I’m looking at getting a thicker insole. I think I would probably be more like an 11.5 E.

Ordered online for Black Friday sale. It said there would be a 10 to 12 week lead time and it was pretty accurate. I received the boots the last week of January.
