Harrison Boot

The Harrison Boot employs genuine handsewn moccasin construction, a technique where a single piece of leather wraps around the foot form or last. This construction method eliminates seams that could cause irritation and allows the boot to conform naturally to the wearer's foot shape. Skilled craftspeople use traditional tools including a sharp awl to slice holes into the leather during the stitching process, rather than pre-punching holes, which maintains the flexibility that moccasins were originally prized for.

The construction process involves securing the leather vamp to the last by tacking the tip, then using waxed thread to create the hand-sewn stitching that connects the upper to the sole. This traditional method has been maintained across three generations of Rancourt & Co. shoemakers.

The Harrison Boot is built on a handsewn moccasin last featuring a classic round toe design. This last represents the company's longest and broadest toe box configuration, providing additional room compared to their 114 and 800 lasts. The generous toe box accommodates natural foot movement while maintaining the traditional moccasin aesthetic.

Each Harrison Boot is constructed from high-quality full-grain leather sourced primarily from renowned tanneries including Horween Leather Company. The boot features full-grain cowhide lining throughout the interior, providing durability and comfort. Various leather options are available, including Natural Chromexcel, Heritage Brown, and Black colorways.

The Harrison Boot Redux features Vibram Cristy outsoles in Natural color. The Cristy sole specifications include dimensions of 21 iron forepart and 45 iron heel, constructed from lightweight blown rubber compound. This sole design provides sneaker-like comfort while offering excellent traction on both natural terrain and pavement surfaces.

The shallow tread pattern of the Cristy sole allows for maximum surface contact and minimal debris buildup, making it suitable for various environments from wet city conditions to trail use. The blown rubber compound begins comfortable but softens slightly over time, enhancing traction characteristics.
