Desk work, out with the kids and fam, general tropical city activities. No rock kicking or belt sander.
Nice and supple full thickness Maryam. Teacore breaks through quickly. Bick’d and brush’d every once in a while and taken good care of.
Like most Japanese lasts, more suitable for wider asian feet especially around the waist portion. Low to mid instep and flat but not overly tapered toebox. Medium arch support like most higher heel engineers. I’m a Brannock 10E-EE HTT/HTB with a moderate instep and these are comfortable TTS with the insoles after some break-in. Nice close-but-not-constrictive fit around the pass-through and shaft, no struggle to get these on and off at all.
Some of the sleekest and balanced proportions of any engineer boot out there. Overall solid and competent finishing around most other stuff in its price range, with some neat features (e.g. full shaft lining). Some minor bugbears (clicking could be a bit tighter, midsole has developed some creak after wear in the rain) but nothing that other similar brands like RDT, JL etc. wouldn’t be at fault for either.
Good durability and solid traction in wet and slippery environments. Nothing to complain about. Moderately soft on the feet.
I like these a lot. As mentioned, I have three pairs of these total (the other two in brown horsebutt and brown suede) and they get extensive wear with how easy they are to pull on and go.
