Thanks yo Briselblack reputation as a beloved Chelsea Boots maker (as far as I know). I'm intriguer to buy their Chelse boots for my daily activities purposes, and I like this model too with some variation on the heel ( I am using cuban heel)
These boots are my second order from Briselblack (side apart from their sister company "The BB Reserve). So, I am familiar with their sizing, Although Adi still measures my foot manually during one of his event.
Adi, as the brand owner of Briselblack is a humble and very informative about the ordering process. I don't have any trouble while ordering these boots.
Mostly, I wear these boots during my workdays at the office, withe the rest of my day spent walking on streets, sidewalks, bricks, and various surfaces. Typically, I take about 5000-6000 steps daily in these boots, wether it rains or shines, day or night. Since my work is mostly indoors, I rarely wear these boots outside for extended periods. However, I still use them for casual outings, like visiting a cafe or taking a bus to another provinces
I found the break-in period for this leather was brief. Black Teacore from Shinki Hikaku Tannery feels suple yet durable after nearly 6 months of use. I have not maintained care these boots meticulously because I want to highlight their natural character and embrace the "brownish patina" that emerges with daily wear. There are minor scratches and scuffs, especially on the toebox, with some patina from everday impact. I also notice some creasing on the heel and foot area, which I appreciate for it is "vintage" look. I generally brush these boots weekly to maintain their appearance and have only cleaned them twice in 6 months
I wore these boots from Monday to Friday, up to 10 hours at a time. I usually wear thick socks to stay comfortable, even in warm weather. There is a problem with the right boot : the midsole has slightly separated, causing soreness after more than 10 hours of use. However, it still can be manageable
The Cuban heels look great and in my opinion, enhance comfort in these boots. Also, I noticed the craftmanship is second to none because it fits my foot well, and the finishing is also very good compared to brands I own.
I think the Dr. Sole Supergrip series matches these boots because they can withstand being beaten for over 6 months. Traction and grip are not an issue because I use it mostly on pavement and asphalt streets. But it can also take a beat when I use it on gravel or uneven paths. In conclusion, this is an amazing product.
The heels and soles are absolutely depdendable during my daily activities. Because of the characteristics of my habit, I dragged my heels so often that the rubber wore down fairly quickly. But it is not hampering the function of these boots.
I think this is a very good investment for the price value. Briselblack offers many kinds of boots, but their speciality is laceless boots that I have now. I have no setbacks or negative thoughts, and I am pretty sure I'm satisfied with these boots.
