I wanted another PNW boot badly and this was the best deal in American footwear going. I love the look. I needed something I can wear all day at work. I also use them mushroom hunting all year long.
I called Franks and spoke with Victoria. She graciously helped me get my size over the phone.

I use my boots every day at my retail job. I'm on concrete all day and I find that these boots are comfortable. I also use my boots for mushroom hunting and I spend a lot of time in the woods.
This leather broke in very easily. I have been rough on it, and it shows some scuffing, but it's really resilient. I rush them after every wear. I have only conditioned them once with bick 4. The bick 4 is awesome stuff. The walnut leather looks better every day.
The black roughout leather is extremely easy to care for. It's super resilient. I brush it every day. I have not conditioned it at all. I have used a suede brush to revive the knap. I have also used a suede rubber cleaning brush. It takes a lot of dirt off of the lowers. Easy break in
The 55 last saved my feet. I had bad heel pain due to plantar fasciitis. The high arch relieved my pain almost immediately. I have almost stopped wearing all of my other boots. The boot fits extremely well. It feels like a leather slipper. The toe box is roomy enough. I had no heel slip. I wear thick wool socks.
Franks makes the best boots in the world. I'm in love with the classic logger design. I find it very comfortable for all of my activities. The construction is second to none. USA made. Very durable. The stitching is perfect. Clicking is good. The hardware is holding up great.
