I wanted another PNW boot badly and this was the best deal in American footwear going. I love the look. I needed something I can wear all day at work. I also use them mushroom hunting all year long.
I called Franks and spoke with Victoria. She graciously helped me get my size over the phone.

I use my Patriots as my main work boot. I am on my feet all day on concrete and I need that high arch support.
The walnut oil tank has gotten nice and supple in high use areas like the ankle. I have been brushing it daily. I used bick 4 in it after 6 months, but I'm reconsidering that product. I have heard that the bick 4 does not do much actual conditioning. The shaft broke in nicely. Extremely durable in the woods with branches scraping.
The black roughout work leather looks brand new almost. Some areas have lost some of the knap, but it mostly looks like it did new. Very durable. I have done no conditioning. I have entertained the idea of putting a wax on there to make a waxed flesh look. But nso far I've left it stock.
The 55 last saved my feet. I have had zero heel pain since switching to high-quality footwear. The high arch is so amazing. The toe box is ample for my feet. Instep feels good, no pain. I love the heel on this last. I wear thick wool boot socks.
The design is tried and true. It's a classic for a reason. Franks' construction is simply amazing, especially for the price of the Patriot. Finishing is on point. This is an extremely durable boot. The stitching looks great. Good clicking, the leather looks great still.

I love my Patriots. I wear them every day. I would rebuy them in a heartbeat. Franks is the best PNW boot maker. I'm planning a custom build next.
