I really like the Edward style from a look perspective and I find the fit of the last to be spot on. Overall the boot leans more dressy which works for my style. I also love green and these strike a balance between brown, with a hint of green which makes them very versatile for my outfits.
I have a few different pairs of Edward’s, my first pair were too big, I got remeasured on a Brannock and found I have different size feet and that the going with 8D would be ideal.
Smooth sailing - I was going to dome Edward’s in dark oak rough out till this released and I did an exchange since I prefer smooth leathers. Grant Stone customer service came through in time.
In the sierras here we get just about all the weather so these saw desert heat, rain and snow through their use as my daily drivers during the contest.
I like the dark olive a lot because as it has broken in it has lightened in spots which creates a cool pull up effect which goes well with my dark olive Schott jacket. Care routine has been basic brushing and using VSC once. Break in was smooth, it’s CXL…
Fit is great, I have lower volume feet so a little thicker socks do the trick.
Near perfect craftsmanship. My only gripe is a misaligned tongue on the left boot. It slides to the left outside of the boot and I need to do something to correct it.
The lug sole served me well through our harshest seasons when I needed it. It is however not as comfortable for me as the dainite, leather or wedge soles.
If you like the color and style they’re pretty awesome. I think they’re also on sale, so while that lasts; pretty great value too. They feel like tanks and have held up really well.
