More about this item

I made these boots in the course provided by Pendragon. Last and size are relative (as I don't have them 😜)

Pretty much exclusively wore these boots for the past ~6 months. I wear them daily in clinic for full time work, as going out boots, for my mates wedding, a trip to Europe and even exercise. I've been limited to all footwear in past 3 years because of my plantar fasciitis and these being like one of 2 boots that actually accept my orthotic. Suffice to say they've gotten plenty of wear.

Kangaroo leather as most are aware is super robust. Super strong considering it's only like ~0.9-1.1mm thick. Break in was super quick but in saying that 2 of the quarter panel's haven't really softened up or teacored meaningfully (more down to my poor clicking). I dyed it with the intention for it to teacore. I made sure for my mates wedding they were all black though. Initially undyed veg tan I applied a layer of Tan dye then black over the top. The teacoring is seen more meaningfully in some panels of leather than other's. Though in general most pronounced on the medial aspects of the boot. Care wise, I hit them with some bick 4 for the wedding plus a buff, and (attempted) a mirror polish to the toe (unsure if a quality of roo leather which made it hard to get shine). Otherwise hit it with a layer of bick 4 and some waterproofing for the trip to Europe 2 months ago. Can't recommend Roo leather enough 100% recommend people to try.

Stitching

I love it, weird to say but I'm so proud of my efforts. I really hope to improve once I have access to equipment at home. Things to improve for sure is the stitching, have always struggled with it. Sanding needed to improve as well.
