Doing an underground job for a college
Live in Texas and figured I’d get made fun of on the jobsite with a logger heel sadly.
Absolutely amazing experience and made me a customer for life!
Originally for underground plumbing and then for commercial electrical, which made the V100 outsole a little less ideal but I still managed.
Was extremely stiff as expected but it has aged beautifully imo and is very pliable while still maintaining nice support wheel on ladders or uneven terrain, etc.
AMAZING. No more pinched toes or slop like when I wore regular work boots. There’s a decent bit of room towards the front where the composite toe is but I ordered it like that on purpose since my old steel toes were too narrow my design. The leather insole and midsole has formed wonderfully to my foot as well and turned them into slippers! I ordered some Delta Arch insoles but have no received them just yet. Will update.
10/10 built like tanks! I had trouble with a lump or unseated nail for the first maybe 1-3 months of wear but after taking them to my cobbler he was able to hammer it down fairly well and the hot spot completely disappeared with some more wear.
Great for the loose gravel and dirt running around trenches for pipe but once I switched over to a concrete floor, multistory commercial building the hard rubber definitely started to show its shortcomings, that being said it’s intended for a totally different use. For indoor work I recently ordered some Wellingtons with a wedge! That being said the V100 has held up great with only the heel really needing a replacement thanks to my wonky walking lol fantastic traction on loose or uneven ground as well and really lock you in on a leader which is a nice addition.
Oops I summed it up in my above comments lol I wear down the outside fast but it’s an excellent heel.
I’ve become a changed man and would never go back to mass produced boots. Plus it feels good to support such quality craftsmanship :) Bravo yall
