Why did you choose this item?
I like the look of the bison leather, and of course not everyone has a pair of bison leather boots. I have high arches, so I can't go wrong with the 55 last. The break in was easy and they are durable.
How did you determine your size?
I bought a couple boots that were the wrong sizes till I figured out the right one.
What was the ordering process?
Nick's has a great website, which I was able to custom order these boots and with my previous experiences I was able to order a perfect fitting boot.
Use & wear
These boots are worn everyday for getting back and forth to my full time job. And they are my work boots for my on the side logging, firewood, tree work and stump grinding. And I even wear them for my casual wear.
Leather
The break in was very easy, and the leather has darkened quite a bit. I'm in a very abrasive environment with them and they have held up well. Very easy to clean and oil.
Fit
The 55 last is my favorite so far. This boot really fits great.
Craftsmanship
Nick's does a great job with everything overall. The only issue I have is the right boot squeaks.
Sole & heel
Super durable and doesn't track mud, dirt and rocks. Love it.
Final thoughts
I have multiple pairs of handmade boots from Nick's and others, they are a part of my life I can't live without. I can't go back to anything else but handmade boots made by my country's men and women.
