Nicks Handmade Boots
These are the boots I've gone to for everything tough I do in boots. Have spent a lot of time riding and working on the bikes. They've spent a lot of days in the office doing nothing. They've spent days running the wood chipper and chain saws, plowing and shoveling snow.
The predator natural has darkened a fair amount, and shows everywhere it's been touched, while still have a great look that can be brought back to looking good with a wipe down and brush. It's full of scratches from working in the brush, but they all but disappear with a good brushing. Easy break in.
I sized down in length and up in width from my regular nicks and it worked ok. I missed the width of the Thurman toe box wearing these, otherwise no real complaints. Standard 55 arch support. Definitely spent the first couple weeks putting the boots on with a plastic bag on my foot.
Top notch craftsmanship on the Palouse. You can tell that it is only the more experienced craftspeople they let work on the Palouse. My only complaint is a couple wrinkles in the lining leather that have telescoped through to the outer leather.
It's my go to sole for everything not mud if I'm not in a wedge sole. I much prefer this heel over the older Quabaug heel that Nicks used before.

I'm loving these boots, they just keep getting better with every wear.
