I love Zero Drop wide toe box shoes AND Nicks. The zero drop is better for my knees. I can work in them longer with less fatigue. When I saw these it was a no brainer. Plus I’ve always wanted grey boots. :)

I have 2 other pairs of Nicks…I whittled down to the right size and fit.

This particular pair were quick ship so I had to wait longer for the Thunder Dome, but, didn’t miss it either by a longer wait time.

Warmer than my other boots when I needed them to be. Breaking in nicely. Sole is fantastic in all weathers and most surfaces (but slippery on wet tiled floors.) sturdy but, not constricting. I cut them down to about 5” I wish I had left it longer with the ankle cushion. Really just searching for content, love these boots a ton!

This leather is fantastic, rough out shows a lot less wear, on the other hand it shows a lot less wear. I like how on the smooth upper the grey is giving way to brown…there was some break in hot spots but compared to other boots breezy. I had to remember I tie my boots a certain way and coincidentally relieving the shin pain. I live in them.

    Satisfied with the Fit

This is a good fit, they are wide enough in the waist, I love the way the toe looks, I wish it was opened up a bit, for my feet, my big toe is on the welt but the rest is spot on. I am a huge fan of zero drop and Nick’s hit it hard. So good. I work all day in these, walking, standing, bending, on my toes…then after hanging out…endless. Support is good. Super durable! Feels like these will last, always.

These boots feel like handcrafted originality. Sturdy, pride, care, nothing to worry about, better with age. (That’s why I have 3 pairs) the Ridgeline, for me the best out of all of my Nick’s boots, now that I know my sizing. Also, the last is lighter so my small 5’1” woman frame can bend it after time. The Ridgeline is a good looking pair of boots.

I am so used to no heels for years now, so I experience less pain in my knee. Also for me more stable.

    Final thoughts

    Would Recommend

Creativity and Community. This project allowed me to use my creative side to see situations that might be fun and/or unusual. It kept my brain working and my creative juices flowing. I also got to witness the transformation of other’s boots and the incredible patina happening in the community. Speaking of, this is the best community, so fun, creative, nerdy, supportive and helpful. This gave me an excuse to work past the break in period. I included some of my friends and co-works who wore new boots in solidarity.
