I got my Riverfronts from the ready to ship section of Nick's Boots. I knew they would be perfect for me since it's mostly hot around me. I took them everywhere with me, Japan, Salt Lake City, to the racetrack, out on town, to the local park etc. Mostly walked in these and I'm happy with how they're holding up.

This leather can take a beating, I had a lot of scratches and patina that came right out when I brushed and conditioned them about halfway through this dome. Overall they held up and didn't drastically change but are looking very nice. I often get compliments for them.

Satisfied with the Fit
I confirmed with these pairs that 9.5E is a good Nick's size for me. I can get tight spots on my left foot but overall they fit just right. No issues for me.

I'm bummed that Nick's has since retired the riverfront pattern. I think it's a great boot shoe that shines with casual outfits. It's built tough and can handle the beating of everyday life, I don't worry about scuffing or messing them up at all.

I walked all over with these wedges. They're my first wedge sole and I grew to like them more than I thought I would. After 6 months I have a lot more tread to go so I'm happy with them.
Final thoughts
I'm glad I chose a easy to put on and take off boot. It's been super easy to reach for these when I'm in a rush, which made my first dome a breeze. They held up throughout and I can't wait to wear them during summer months.

First week i aerated the lawn with a pitchfork. I regret two things: getting my new boots muddy and not wearing gloves.
Helping friends and family with car maintenance, oil change and repairs.
I still ride my moped to work everyday in rain, snow and salted ice roads. Clerking, moving boxes, pallets, assembeling, transporting and repairing different disability equipment.
They have been worn in the woods and on lighter mountain hikes.

These have seen the usual desk patina, but also have been exposed to drops of acetone and other solvents, some dilute acid, and etching solutions.
There's also been some manual labor, but not very intense - occasionally crawling around to work on equipment.
I've used them on some short walks, but nothing significant enough to warrant the word "hike."
I didn't like the way the edges were wearing part way through, so I lightly sanded the finish off and refinished them myself. I much prefer this look now...."Read the full review
