Why did you choose this item?
I just really like the rose anvil channel and I missed out on the first drop so I got these as soon as I could
How did you determine your size?
Honestly, it was daunting using nicks sizing guide but it’s spot on, they fit like a glove straight out of the box, 10/10 would use they’re guide again, especially since I have to return my ND2 for using the rose anvil guide
What was the ordering process?
Since I don’t live in the PNW I had to really on the internet, nicks was not very helpful through email or phone. I believe they have gotten to big and now use scripted responses for questions, which sucks considering this is my first PNW boot and the price and return policy is extremely daunting
Use & wear
My ND1’s have mainly been used to walk my pups a few miles a day downtown, but they have also been on a few jobs with me from snow to remodels and just walking around spending time with my family
Leather
I give credit to Nicks sizing guide to getting me in a pair of boots that fit good, the break in didn’t break me but getting this leather to patina did give me an incredible challenge, talk about tough
Fit
The sizing hit very nail on the head except the length, I think if I were to order again I would go a half size smaller, the width was perfect for my wife feet, heel fit right in with no issues, I just feel like I have too much toe space but it’s a very minor issue, the HNW last is definitely my favorite now
Craftsmanship
Everyone knows Rose Anvil designed this boot with Nicks and I have definitely used the patch, the design has been handy and I feel like I could wear these boots for years, I barely put a dent in them in these past 6 months so they’re living up to their name
Sole & heel
I got traction on everything but snow and ice, and wet steel. However, after miles of dog walks and hikes I barely have worn it down, it’s extremely durable
Final thoughts
I bought these because I missed out on the first release and I really like Rose Anvil. I wear boots for work and just in general but these are most definitely my favorite and my first pair of PNW boots, if I could also wear these to work I would but they are not allowed. If I’m not in my work boots I’m in these. 10/10
