I originally used them as my dress boots but after wearing them to weddings all summer I decided to use them for everything but construction work . I have used them for farm work, hiking and casual ware.
This is my first experience with black klondike and the black pigment stays on really well. It took a couple weeks of regular wear for the boots to really feel broken in. When you do scratch through the surface the gold brown complements the black very well.
Fit is a little large I typically wear 10EE but that is not an option so going 10.5D works and is a good fit . The unstructured toe adds a unique look. This is a good overall boot for everything day wear.
The craftsmanship has been great the boots are factory seconds and the only "flaw" I have found is the welt could be sanded down more in a few spots. The outter layer has been tough to wear through but looks great when it does and the freedom of toe movement from the unstructured toe is a nice change up.
Nice low profile sole that has given good grip in all situations I have avoided deep mud and snow though.
The 9060 has been a great boot to wear it is something you can just put on and wear for almost any occasion. I have gone to weddings, gone hiking and done farm work in these boots and they still are almost completely black the gold undertones are starting to come through but it is tough layer to break through.
