These were my daily drivers during the dome for all things suburban dad. They didn't see action for manual labor.

Leather

Care Routine
Patina Process

This leather came out of the box with a lot of depth and pull-up. Half way through the dome they felt a little dry so I conditioned them with Blackrock. They burnished up nicely and mellowed out as the months progressed to a deeper reddish brown. Leather was supple from the jump and there was zero break in.

Satisfied with the Fit
Too Much Volume

I took my regular Russell size on these and was not disappointed. The rare Munson last did not disappoint with a little more toe room than the 40 boot last. Good toe room, tight heel, flexible construction. Classic Russell.

The last, design, and product are exactly what I want: practical, comfortable, and a little funky. The finishing is as expected from Russell, perfectly imperfect. Kind of wish the last holes weren't visible on both heels, but that's a miniscule gripe.

Sole & heel

Durability
Traction
Comfort

This was a game time call to get them in for the Dome and no regrets the sole is a bit squishy, but very flexible and comfortable. It doesn't have great traction on wet surfaces, and is more fragile than other soles I've had. However, for this pair's use it was a good choice.

Would Recommend

I'll always recommend Russell, and Russell on the Munson last is a special treat. These are going to be lifelong keepers.
