Why did you choose this item?
I like versatile boot and the black cognac cordovan color was hard to resist
How did you determine your size?
I was told by my predecessor to choose the size similarly to my EU size. So far spot on!
What was the ordering process?
I was chatting by whatsapp with sagara staff directly (was not part of sagara yet back then)
Use & wear
I work mostly sit behind the desk and maybe some light walk when visit to my coffee shop and interior workshops
Leather
The leather darken for sure, but still maintain the marbling effect like initial condition. Break in was hardest amongst my pair since they’re in sagara’s braided norwegian stormwelt with raw cord sole and heel.
Fit
Comfortable right out of the box. Need time to break in for sure but since it’s not my first pair of Sagara, I know the fit will be spot on.
Craftsmanship
I was impressed by Bagus work before I joined the team, maybe because he’s the only real designer that design boot. Still looks like a heritage inspired boot design but not a copy cat of any other brand. Construction of braided norwegian is Sagara’s trademark, with the marble black cognac effect also made in-house is a pure genius. Durability perfect, no complaints whatsoever.
Sole & heel
Stiffest amongst all dr sole I wear. But the sole also age beautifully it reveals the cord inside by time. Very durable and grips good
Same with the sole.
Final thoughts
The first pair of boot that always makes me feel the joy like the very first time I open the box. After 4 years, very satisfied with how they age. I recommend this leather often to my Sagara client and seeing all the result.. im never been prouder! Spending a fortune for a well-made kind of boot never disappoints!
