Added leather insoles and a knife pocket on the right boot.

I have pretty plain Jane feet and these boots fit great right out of the box.

I have another pair of these boots (Mr. Lou's) that are a bit fancier. Picked these up FR general casual, everyday wear. Standard and Strange had a pair in my size, by chance, and I jumped on them.

Wesco's usually fit me dead in a 9.5 D and that's where I start with that brand. I have a bunch of hardcore work boots from them and they all fit really me well.

I wore these boots in all conditions, almost every day for the entire six months of the Dome competition. Inside, outside, office work, dock work, and casually everywhere.

I thought these boots would be great for the Dome, but the leather was some of the hardest wearing I've ever worn. I had just under 1000 hours of work time in them and a few hundred hours of casual wear and they weren't moving, patina wise, for almost the whole time. Only in the last two months did they start showing any real wear. In any other situation I would say this is an awesome selection of leather....hard wearing, resilient, and comes back with a cleaning and an oil. Break-in wise, they were easy. I added another home made leather insole, just for a little extra cush. Would definitely recommend both the boots and the leather.

Satisfied with the Fit

These boots fit me great. I've worn them 20+ hour shifts a few times and they've felt good until the end. This last fits my foot just right.

The Mister Lou is a great looking design, generally. And this variation is no different. Fit, finish, stitching, and details are solid. My only point of issue were the logo stamps on the shafts didn't really hold.

The soles on these boots are hard wearing with plenty of life left on them after six months of consistent wear.

Final thoughts

Would Recommend

These boots are a great variation of the Wesco Mister Lou. The leather and small details are enough to set them apart from the standard Mister Lou. Fit and feel are subjective, but I have a pretty average foot and these feel good with no real complaints. Would recommend.
