Have been wearing them in a city. Walked on many asphalt roads and in office buildngs.
Evolve from matt black to shiny black. Was very supple already fresh out of box and almost 0 break-in. I used horse hair brush on them every 3-5 days
I got size 7D and it's perfect for me. The Arch-Ease took some getting used to. My feet would hurt if I stood for a few minutes. Walking in them almost felt like I was trying to tiptoe. But, it started to feel very comfortable and fun after a few times of wearing them. Also love the half comp sole and heels. They make great sounds on asphalt or concrete roads.
Overall very happy about it. Some stitches started to came off soon but not an issue. Glad I chose nickels for the hardware, which go well with black leather. I went with single row stitch for this pair for the "dressy" look and love how clean the stitches are, but would definitely go for double rows stitch for another pair because I believe that is what makes White's boots unique. This is the only regret I have.
Love the way Half Comp sole and the heel looks. It rained a lot in Chicago recently and the heels slipped sometime when I walked on a hallway of an apartment but not a big deal. They make great sound on asphalt and concrete roads. The back and outer sides of the heels faded away so quickly, though, given I only wore them in a city, which was surprising (or I guess I wore them very hard).
This was my first pair of White's and also first black leather boots. Over all very happy with the boots. Definitely want to get another pair, probably something more heavy duty (Cruiser or Cutter). This was also the most expensive pair of footwear (I paid around $600-700). The Father's Day sale was very helpful financially. Some people mistook these for Dr. Martens and I feel I really should've gone with double row stitch for not only the construction and design aspects. If you have extra money for great PNW boots, I'd recommend it!
