The Whites Perry Select have been great boots so far. I’ve put thick leather insoles in them.

The leather really can snap back with some conditioner and reminds me of CXL in how it can be both comfortable and durable. I used blackrock conditioner on them twice during the dome and will probably only need to do this every 3 months or so going forward. The boot took about 3 months to break in fully because the sole and fit was tight at first and rigid. The leather seems to be very breathable and even would recover fast after being in standing water at times. I like how the leather shows patina but can be restored with conditioner as well...."Read the full review

It also really stays clean compared to the leather on my other boots. I used saddle soap twice during the dome and at the end of both times I was really impressed how little dust and debris sticks to this leather. Being a fully struck through black leather, it really doesn't patina. At all... But that's honestly a good thing for my work since the bosses can get on your case for not keeping your boots polished and neat...."Read the full review

I've seen DocLineman's model and understand just how much abrasion it can take. I don't climb trees but my 80lb dog will land her feet on mine every time we are outside and even her paws haven't worn down the leather much. At first, it had a nice uniform tone to it, almost black looking in the darker months. As it aged and broke in I saw how it was slowly showing the brown underneath. I didn't baby this leather and it's holding up well.
Brushing every week, a damp rag to get rid of sticky residue when needed. No soap or conditioner (yet)...."Read the full review
