The Fulton is a work boot manufactured by White's Boots, featuring an 8-inch full grain water-resistant leather upper and designed for demanding work environments. Built using Goodyear welt construction combined with White's traditional hand-bottoming process, the Fulton incorporates the company's 1972 Arch-Easeâ„¢ Last with a low arch profile for reduced break-in time.
Introduced as part of White's work boot lineup, the Fulton utilizes a Vibram® Honey Lug Unit Sole for enhanced traction and longevity in industrial settings. The boot combines the efficiency of machine-stitched Goodyear welting with White's heritage craftsmanship through hand-finishing by master bootmakers at the company's Spokane, Washington facility.
The Fulton features an 8-inch full grain water-resistant leather upper designed to absorb high impact during extended work periods. A padded collar enhances stability and provides comfort for long workdays. The boot utilizes White's 1972 Arch-Easeâ„¢ Last, which incorporates a low arch profile specifically engineered to reduce the break-in period compared to the company's higher-arched traditional lasts.
Construction employs Goodyear welt methods, where the upper is machine-stitched to a leather welt for precision and production efficiency. However, White's applies additional hand-bottoming processes performed by master bootmakers, combining manufacturing speed with traditional craftsmanship techniques. The sole system consists of a Vibram® Honey Lug Unit Sole designed for traction in challenging work environments, supported by a Vibram® midsole and composite shank that provides structural stability and a custom fit.
White's Boots, established in 1853, manufactures the Fulton at its 42,000-square-foot facility in Spokane, Washington, where the company has operated since 1915. The facility produces approximately 40,000 pairs of boots annually using American-sourced leather and materials. The company's Arch-Ease technology, trademarked in 1926 after Otto White's extensive study of foot anatomy, forms the foundation of the Fulton's last design.
The Fulton represents White's approach to accessible work boot construction, offering what the company describes as "the off-the-shelf readiness of a boot half their price and the comfort of a boot twice their price." This balance results from combining efficient Goodyear welt production with the hand-finishing techniques that White's has employed for over 170 years. White's Boots was sold to LaCrosse Footwear of Portland, Oregon in July 2014, which also owns Danner Boots.
