Stevens (Dress Cap)

White's Boots developed the Stevens as part of their lifestyle boot collection, using handsewn stitchdown construction that has been passed down since the company's founding in 1853. The boot retails for $750 and is made-to-order with a 14-16 week lead time.

The Stevens (Dress Cap) uses handsewn stitchdown construction, involving hand-lasting, hand-welting, and hand-bottoming by master bootmakers. The construction method creates a durable, water-resistant seam and an all-leather arch that molds to the wearer's foot over time. The boot is built on White's Boots' 5050 Arch-Ease™ Last, which combines the arch support of their traditional 55 last with a sleeker toe profile and lower arch for easier break-in.

The upper features a five-inch full grain water-resistant leather construction with a dress cap toe decorated with broguing detail. Quadruple stitching connects the vamps, while double stitching secures the cap toes. The boot includes four speed hooks and five eyelets for lacing, along with a leather midsole and shank for custom fit and feel.

The sole construction uses a Dainite® sole and block heel designed for light wear, maintaining the boot's dress-appropriate aesthetic while providing durability. The handsewn stitchdown construction makes the boot rebuildable and resoleable, extending its functional lifespan.

The Stevens (Dress Cap) is available in sizes seven through 13 in D and EE widths. White's Boots offers the model in multiple Chromexcel leather colors including Burgundy, Natural, British Tan, Brown, and Black Chromexcel. As with other White's lifestyle boots, the Stevens is fully customizable to suit individual preferences.

The boot is made-to-order with an approximate lead time of 14 to 16 weeks. White's boot lasts run large, with most customers taking a half size down from their natural shoe size or Brannock measurement.
