A Truly Perfect Match

I work on my feet and walk a lot, I averaged right at 6 miles a day per wear for a total of 859 miles in the six months of the competition. I would occasionally go on light hikes in them to see the surrounding marshland we have here in southeast Texas. My biggest passion in life is dancing and during the thunderdome I went dancing 45 times in these boots, and with a total of 143 wears, this means roughly 30% of my wears involved dancing at some point. And they danced and walked of course here locally, but also saw trips to New York City and Japan! In my two weeks in Japan they had well over 100 miles of wear, 4 salsa nights, and countless memories made there. They hiked along a rocky shore in Wakayama, crossed through the Shibuya scramble, climbed hundreds of flights of stairs, drunkenly walked through Golden Gai and Dotonburi, ran 6 miles through the rain when I missed the train back to my hotel from Shinjuku to Nippori. I've definitely taken care not to abuse them in any laborious work I've done in them, as I'm not running them in the work dome. Being they are a chromexcel, I waited until the last month of the competition, once I knew the Idaho winter was over, before conditioning with bick 4 to minimize darkening, and allow the natural patina to keep showing through. They've been through miles upon miles of walking, freight work, gym use, office work, snow, mud, and my toe drag the few times I've thrown disc golf in them. In all, they have had a lot of love and been fantastic. Frank's built them like tanks, super supportive, and the best form fit I've got, and the toe box hasn't even really started to flatten yet, but the toe spring is fantastic. No matter where I took them, the boots held up well. They handled everything without issue. They’ve proven to be solid and versatile, working well for everyday street wear as well as rugged environments. The V bar makes them so so on ice and snow but for everything else they are great. I’m an electrician by trade that has moved into the BD/sales side of the business. So these boots have been exposed to a multitude of climates and events in my last 6months.
From asshole deep snow walking a job in to taking a pair of boots to Wesco in Oregon to get rebuilt while on a work trip.
They were on my feet when I came to TX from Indiana for a job interview in Dec and I just took their last pictures in the back yard of my apartment in Texas and yes they were on my feet when I moved down here in a couple of suitcases
