These White’s spent most of their time kicking around urban environments, but saw multiple hikes in very wet to dry conditions. No matter where I took them, the boots held up well. They handled everything without issue. They’ve proven to be solid and versatile, working well for everyday street wear as well as rugged environments. The V bar makes them so so on ice and snow but for everything else they are great. They have serious heft! I look forward to several more years with them.
The seidel leather started off quite stiff, but yielded very nicely after a few weeks. They feel really great now. The leather is *quite* durable. Its thick and even developing rolls. I didn’t expect that from this kind of leather but it’s awesome. The dye is coming off quite dramatically which gives them a good amount of character. I didn’t exactly baby these considering they were for the dome, but if I treated them more kindly I’m sure the dye would have held up for quite awhile. My care routine for these was almost non existent. I brushed them every so often, and gave them a bit of VSC and a good final brushing before the last round of photos.
