A hard crash course in my first long time wear of a heritage " work" boot, and im not going back

The wedge sole could have been more rugged and with better grip but it also wasn't really advertised as a work boot, which is how i used them. The sole and laces are the only things id change. I infact did change the laces to thicker waxed ones that just broke right at the end of the comp. Also the lining did bleed a little bit, luckily i just wore my work socks so who cares...."Read the full review

Have to spend twice as much to get comparable QC and sleekness. Their materials and construction are well documented: leather, cork, steel shank, and not much else. Outsole stitched through. The clicking is always solid.

Grant Stone Brass Boot in Horween Color 8 ChromexcelBy harshhappens • April 2, 2024"I wasn't a huge fan of the brass boot or Floyd last when they initially released- it felt like a departure from the "business casual" vibe early Grant Stone had- not to say that it's bad, it just wasn't my thing. But these have really grown on me and I have come to really appreciate the pattern and last. I will be dyeing these black because styling color 8 CXL has proven difficult for me and I just think the black suits the pattern/last combo more...."Read the full review
