Boots have just about broken in by now. Fully discovered that this is sized incorrectly and is too short for me. Can probably tell just from where the creasing is happening, a little too far forward in the vamp. So have started to experiment to try and fix the fit. Aesthetically, switched up the laces and also got some Maryam Horserump TPR kilties from Guarded Goods, matches up with the leather quite nicely.

My first pair of gyw boots. I came from the dress shoe scene. But just found boots a little more suitable for my lifestyle and wardrobe. Amazing Badalassi Carlo Minerva Smooth leather, the smell is just something else. And I'm a sucker for leather soles, they just feel supportive when you plant your foot on the ground. Unfortunately, I have a narrow foot with low arch, instep and foot volume, so I kind of downsized too much going with the 8D. After slight adjustment by forcing in slightly too large shoe trees, the fit is manageable now, but requires thin socks. I've since gone up half a size in the Leo Last for my other Grant Stone boot and they fit well now.
