Yes. Over 500 miles of walking on trails, through snow and slush.
It’s held up amazingly well to the salt and snow I subjected these to. The break in was near instant. The only care required was cleaning and brushing almost daily.
These might be the most comfortable boots I’ve ever owned. The leather is so soft and breaks in instantly. The soles are a bit softer than most vibrams, like the 430 and the leather midsole ads a nice bit of squish.
The design is pretty standard. Cap toe work boot with a bit of a bulbous toe, but not too egregious. The construction is as I expected. They got the goldilocks zone. Would like a leather heel counter, but I was content with the construction of these.
It’s a bit soft. The traction in the snow I’d describe as fair, but not great. They wear fairly quickly and one the treads are worn away, the traction is a bit risky.
I’d change a few things about the build, but I’m pretty happy with them. These really are the goldilocks of gyw boots. Proudly mid.
