Use & wear

Physical Work
Outdoor Activities
Cold Temperatures

I've worn these during some casual yard work, including about 8 hours of firewood splitting, and several 2-3 mile walks on pavement.

Leather

Brown Smooth

These boots broke in, and were comfortable enough for all-day wear after only 6-8 hours of wear. There is zero pull-up or color shift as this is a strict work leather. As a result, I think they're going to take quite a while to patina. I treated the leather with Obenauf's LP during the initial break in, and applied a bit of Obenauf's oil about 2 months in. I like to brush the boots clean after every wear and rub out the scuffs with my fingers.

Satisfied with the Fit

I'm a 13D on the brannock, but I've always enjoyed the width of an EE boot. Drew's recommended 1 size down, so I bought the boot in 12D. They fit terrific! Plenty wide to satisfy my EE width preference, and still enough room length-wise as the boot flexes

Craftsmanship

Construction
Stitching
Finishing

For a made-in-Mexico boot, most people, including myself, might be skeptical of the boots' quality, and rightfully so. Lay your fears to rest! The damn boot is perfect! Punches way way above its weight class in terms of quality/price. The stitching is straight and true. The foot bed is perfect, as well as the lining leather. The heel stack, the sole stitching, the hardware; nothing is out of place. It's everything you hope it is given the low price.

What can you say about the Vibram 100 Montagna? It's hard as hell, but it's going to last awhile.

Final thoughts

Good Value
Would Recommend

A true PNW-quality boot that's half the price. It's half the price because it's made in Mexico. It's made in Mexico; but it's perfect. It's everything you hope it's going to be.
