The first extended period of wearing these boots was a 10 day trip to Scotland where they saw mild hiking and walking through city streets. Shockingly they did not see much water during this trip. The rest of the period of the Dome mainly consisted of trips to the office.

Care Routine
Break-In

The break in process was fairly easy for these boots and consisted of a lot of wearing them to the office before a long trip where they were the primary footwear. This is my first RO pair of footwear so I only brushed them with a horsehair brush instead of a nylon or rubber brush as I just don’t have one.

Satisfied with the Fit

The boots have been pretty comfortable. Most days I will walk around 8k steps in them and have no issues. I logged a few 15-20k steps days in them and by 12k my feet would start to feel fatigued. The toe box is fairly spacious and the sole feels supportive. Once the leather broke in around the ankles I had no issues with extended wear. I did get to try them on in DC during a trunk show so I was able to get fit for them.

Construction

I am not all that hard on my boots but they have held up well. The craftsmanship is good with all the stitching being pretty consistent.

Traction

I wanted to get a boot with a lug sole for light hiking and just because I don’t have any boots with a lug sole. The sole has held up very well and shows very little sign of wear.
