I entered one of Onderhoud’s lotteries for this leather. There were a few models I was interested in from Rizky but I felt this one was the correct choice for this horsebutt. I am a huge boot-shoe hybrid fan and the makers in Indonesia put out some of the best. I live in Portland Oregon and it feels like this funky hybrid’s natural habitat

Mostly around Portland, where they saw a lot of rain. A little light wear in the mountains of east Oregon but not much as the makeup really isn’t made for winters in the mountains and I didn’t want to abuse them. They also went on some vacations and to a music festival

Maryam Natural Horsebutt

As with all natural veg tan it’s got some staining for sure. The color is very rich after treatment with Skidmores at the end of month 5. My three dogs could be a little hard on the leather at times, they love to STOMP my feet. But the marks brushed out pretty nicely.

I probably should have asked for an adjustment at the ball but the supple horsebutt was forgiving and they are quite comfy

Traction

Wear started really fast but steadied with time. They’ll last a little longer than I expected. Very low on grip though as the ridges smooth out pretty quickly

Final thoughts

You should all buy more boot shoes from Indonesian makers. They are so fun
