Onderhoud Handmade

Onderhoud Handmade was founded by Rizky and operates from Sukagalih, Bandung. The business has been producing custom footwear since at least 2019.

All Onderhoud Handmade footwear is produced by hand in Sukagalih. Rizky performs the hand-lasting and edge trimming steps. An assistant contributes to the creation of the uppers.

Onderhoud Handmade uses several construction methods for its footwear. Veldtschoen construction involves a double-row stitchdown technique. Goodyear welt construction is also used.

The company sources materials from different regions. Indonesian combination-tanned pull-up leathers are included as a standard option. Italian vegetable-tanned leathers from Badalassi Carlo and Maryam tanneries are available for an additional fee.

Customization covers several aspects of the footwear. Options include structured or unstructured toe boxes, single or double leather midsoles, different heel styles, gusseted tongues, and multiple welt styles. Welt options offered consist of flat Goodyear welt and storm welt, in 270 or 360 degrees.

Onderhoud Handmade produces made-to-order footwear. Its product range includes the LVL01 Derby, a low-cut derby boot, and various other boots. Customers can choose from different leathers, construction techniques, and design features for each product.
