I was looking for a monkey boot and Sagara was recommended. Saw this leather and contrasting thread and loved it
I contacted Sagara and told them my size in different brands and they gave me what they thought their boots would fit. And it was perfect.
Ask online, but I did have an email chain with customer service simultaneously
Generally speaking, I’m an office worker. Although I do live in a cold climate, so they were out in the snow and ice all winter. I didn’t baby them, but I didn’t beat the heck out of him on purpose either.
There were a couple places that I think the leather got beat up a bit. Near the celastic toe there are some places that some cracking started to occur. I went through and conditioned the weather more thoroughly after that. Other than that, I have no complaints at all. If I really wanted to show Great patina, I probably shouldn’t have gotten black. lol
If I had to do it over, I may have gone up a half a size. That being said, I think they fit great. I really like how it feels around the ball of my foot into the waist.
I think this is where the boots shown best. The finishing on this boot was immaculate. The stitching was wonderful everything about it looked great. I love the accent stitching on the sole, even. These are beautifully made and beautifully finished boots.
I think the sole has been fine. Very durable. Surprisingly good traction as well. They are just loud on my hardwood floor and tile. I mean seriously loud. That is my only gripe.
No real issues. I think they look fabulous, but I’m not sure I will get them another pair of boots. One weird thing. When walking in the snow, the snow would just pack on the sole. I don’t know if it’s because that particular compound gets colder fast faster, but when I would step out of the snow on the pavement, sometimes I would be walking on a half inch of packed snow. Very odd.
It was a struggle to wear a single pair of boots virtually every day for six months. These boots made it a lot easier, but I am definitely not a one pair of boots guy. lol. So, I’m glad to be out of the contest!! The Cordmasters are amazing boots. They look amazing. They wear extremely well. The craftsmanship is exceptional. Yeah, I’ve got nothing but good things to say. I just wish Black leather patina’d a little faster. lol. I would totally recommend Sagara as a boot brand. The customer service is first rate. And the boots are fabulous.
