I took these boots to Nepal with me and couldn’t have asked for a better pair of boots for trekking.

Viberg Service Boot PCT in Horween Golden Brown Predator RoughoutBy have.boots.will.travel • March 23, 2025"Overall the 2040 has been an awesome boot to break in. I’ve hiked in them up mountains and visited shrines in Japan in ankle deep snow. And they have performed in all conditions. I have only
experienced some heel pain on one occasion after the in initial break in and that was during the aforementioned Japan trip, but I think it was because they got a bit wet and the leather hardened up a bit after drying. And also because of my own anatomy. (Bony bumps on my heels. )

In summary, I wore these mostly to work and around town. But I also took them on several mountain hikes and a trip to snowy Japan back in January.
They have performed perfectly in all environments. Some sore heels during initial break-in. And after the long snowy hike in Japan with heavy snow. But otherwise they have been comfortable from day 1...."Read the full review
