Perry 8"

The Perry 8" is built on White's Boots' newly developed Arch-Ease™ 1972 Last, which provides low arch support and was designed specifically for the Perry line. The boot incorporates elements from White's iconic Smokejumper upper pattern, connecting it to the company's heritage of manufacturing boots for loggers and firefighters. Available in both standard and premium Select versions, the Perry 8" offers heritage boot construction at an accessible price point compared to White's traditional work boot offerings.

The Perry 8" employs Goodyear welt construction, a machine-stitched method that White's Boots enhances through hand-bottoming by master bootmakers. This construction includes a durable composite shank and Vibram® midsole, providing structural support while maintaining resoleable capability. The upper consists of 8-inch full grain water-resistant leather designed to absorb high impact, sourced from thick oil-tanned leather produced by Milwaukee's Seidel Tanning Corporation.

The boot features a 360-degree Goodyear welt that makes it more affordable than White's Boots' handsewn stitchdown construction while retaining durability and repairability. Internal components include an Ortholite® cushioning footbed for comfort and a heavy-duty cardboard heel counter, the same material used in White's firefighter boots, sandwiched between full-grain leather layers. The sole system utilizes a Vibram® Christy Crepe sole for the standard model.

Construction involves more than 25 unique hand production steps, maintaining White's Boots' traditional manufacturing approach that has been used since the company's founding in 1853. Each boot is hand-lasted, allowing the leather to be stretched and secured around the last by hand for a customized fit. The resoleable construction allows for boot rebuilds at half the cost of purchasing new boots.

The Perry 8" is available in three distinct configurations. The standard Perry 8" model (R8000) represents the entry-level option, featuring the core construction and materials at the most accessible price point. This version includes a composite shank, Vibram® Christy Crepe sole, and is available in Black, Brown Distress, and Red Dog colorways.

The Perry 8" Select (R8000-CC) serves as the premium version, incorporating upgraded components including a leather shank instead of the composite shank used in the standard model. The Select version features a leather heel counter rather than the fiberboard counter, providing improved durability and better molding to the wearer's feet. This model offers eight leather options from Seidel Tannery, including five Double Shot leather variants in Tobacco Stampede, British Tan, Black, Brown, Burgundy, and Natural, plus Distress Roughout and Black Roughout options. The Select model includes White's Boots logo embossing.

The Perry 8" Hybrid Wedge variant addresses users requiring additional traction for work environments. This model features White's Boots' proprietary hybrid wedge outsole with rubberized lug skin designed for traction on machinery and varied terrain, replacing the standard Vibram® Christy sole.

The Perry 8" is built on White's Boots' Arch-Ease™ 1972 Last, specifically developed for the Perry line with enhanced arch support and a low arch design for optimal comfort. This last was created to provide arch support underneath while securing the heel for a fit designed to have virtually no break-in period, distinguishing it from the extended break-in typically associated with traditional White's work boots.

White's boot lasts run large, requiring most customers to take a half size down from their natural shoe size. The Perry 8" is available in sizes 7 through 13.5 with width options in D (medium) and EE (wide). The Arch-Ease™ last provides the perfect amount of arch support while maintaining the secure heel fit characteristic of White's construction methods.

Production times vary by model, with the standard Perry 8" requiring 10 to 12 weeks for made-to-order manufacturing, while the Perry 8" Select requires 14 to 16 weeks due to its premium materials and construction upgrades. All Perry models are manufactured in White's Boots' Spokane, Washington facility using the same traditional methods employed since 1915.
