Tan French Vocalou is characterized as a full-grain calfskin with a semi-aniline finish. The semi-aniline tanning allows a degree of natural grain transparency, which provides depth to the tan color. The leather exhibits a smooth, consistently beautiful natural grain pattern with a glossy surface finish that resembles the high shine typically associated with Shell Cordovan.

The grain surface is dye-plated and glazed to set smooth pigments while maintaining a natural core that develops patina over time and naturally burnishes with wear.
