There was one muddy day that I wore them and they did really well. I tested them in standing water and they didn't leak very fast at all so I think they can work as work boots after the dome too...."Read the full review

In the first month of wear I hiked along the Appalachian trail and moshed to my favorite hardcore band who came out of retirement for a one off show in Philadelphia. I wore these all around Manhattan and Brooklyn when visiting family for Thanksgiving. I wore them when teaching. I spent many hours in the darkroom wearing these. But like many domers, most of the miles put on these were around my neighborhood while walking my dog. My Everyday Boots

I have not worn them seven days in all that time, and three of those I did not wear shoes. I have worn them running errands, on road trips, to the beach, to the river, fishing on the Chesapeake Bay, to a Congressional Subcommittee hearing, to the chiropractor, out with friends, and taking care of my elderly parents. Wherever I went, my Grant Stone Nora boots went with me with my feet in them.

On more than one occasion I got the opportunity to explain ordering from Onderhoud or how the dome works to a bunch of high school kids. Those conversations were definitely interesting!

It changes with every brush, and it takes to brushing and conditioning like nothing I’ve ever seen. It’s slow to soften up at break-in, taking almost four months before it was feeling soft as butter all around, but this is a testament to its strength. Consider conditioning these regularly after the first few months. The Veg tan will thank you. It goes from a golden blonde to a burnt orange in a few months, especially when brushed and exposed to the elements...."Read the full review
