Tough and Comfortable!

I wore them on hikes, did hardwork in them and walked my dog every day in them. Rain, snow and ice, mud...it didn't even phase these things! This leather can take a beating that's for sure. Grant Stone made a real tough and comfortable boot with these! I'm constantly standing and walking on blacktop and the wedge soles held up great and were at home on that surface. I can't recommend these enough! I work at a dealership as an inventory manager and I'm always outside and on the move and they never failed me...."Read the full review

The leather held up very well. Your can see where the black finish has worn off relatively easily, but I think you could beat the hell out of it and they'd last. Seems rather pipey, but that's not an issue imo.
Care was Smiths leather balm where it seemed dry or worn, a coat of VSC once to give them some shine, and that's about it...."Read the full review
It was quite a dome. Lots of miles (trail hiking and pavement), and they are now my favorites.

For work, that meant mostly on concrete or the sand/dirt of different test ranges. Since i am the engineer on the projects, my work is not as physical as it used to be. For context, I work on things that "go really fast and usually boom at the end". Although, I did try to suggest tying them to our test manikins' feet, and I would have claimed the "fastest pair of boots in the thunderdome"! They've been on my feet through multiple states, venues and concert halls across the USA. Basically they've been companions both as a casual and work boot.

Of course that means they have been used for weightlifting and homebrewing, and much more beyond just round-the-house goofin. That means they got scratched by dumbell and barbell grips, served as platforms for me to stand on when doing pull ups from the tree in my backyard, got stained multiple times with hot wort (which tragically does not come out), and maybe even a little paracetic acid (sanitizer). I also take them on walks around the neighboring lake when the weather permits (central NY weather has been quite strange lately). And that has just been while I am at university! In the winter when I was home in San Diego, these were my surf shoes. They made changing in and out of my wetsuit during dawn-patrol sessions a total breeze. So they left San Diego caked in a bit of Sticky Bumps (surf wax) and filled with sand (admittedly waterlogged from my last surf)...."Read the full review

I wore these through every weather condition winter can throw at you. The only thing I didn’t like was once saturated with water/melting snow it took 3 days of continuous wear to dry out completely. However after wearing them dry they molded completely to my foot making them the most comfortable boot I have ever worn. I spend a lot of time working with barrels and fixing equipment and everything else around the brewery so they get beat up a bit from that. I also help the team in the cellar cleaning tanks, transferring beer, and packaging when necessary so these boots have seen a decent amount of water too. I wear raw denim jeans and as a result there is an insane amount of crocking that has turned from electric blue to the darkest deepest indigo. These boots have helped work around the family farm splitting wood and other projects. They have helped me keep up with a wild 2 year old boy that runs at a steady 5000 rpms. I’ve put these boots through the wringer the last 6 months and the leather is so tough that it doesn’t really show the abuse it’s been through...."Read the full review
