First Dome! Great Experience with my Willie's

Since I wear a lot of jeans, I wear these boots to work as much as I can.

Meaning they’ve been used to climb in and out of walls, put to use in a fabrication shop, installing artwork, painting galleries, etc.
There were a handful of short trips out of town where they got a bit of extra walking in them, and a handful of snow and rain days, but aside from a sudden series of early Spring shit weather days, they saw a fairly mild Dome.
However, the day before taking photos they did end up absolutely soaked in several inches of slushy snow.

I usually take them off when I'm exercising, but they've been on my feet pounding pavement on my walk to and from the subway every day (~10k average steps) as well as at the hospital where they've helped protect my feet during intraoperative neurosurgical consultations and brain cuttings. (I'm about to complete a fellowship in neuropathology.) They've been on many playground outings with my daughter, trips to Hawaii, Normandy, and Paris - where they've been on hikes up mountains and on beaches. They've had a few brief dips in the ocean as well as through snow storms and torrential rain. They've been a point of discussion with the pathology residents - who now know a bit more about boots, leather made from Polish horses, and leather jackets. They were a gift to myself at the end of my pathology residency - and they've been a constant well loved companion on a pretty remarkable 6 months for me - the end of my time as a trainee and a symbol of some of what I've been able to accomplish thanks to decades of hard work...."Read the full review

I walk around town in them, usually on hard surfaces. I travel in them (some of my patina photos were taken on a trip to Belize). I've noticed my brake pedal has worn prints in the left boot from operating the clutch. I just wear them, doing whatever I happen to be doing that day. I don't really hike or anything in these. A Life Changing Pair

They were great for just tossing on to run out to do a quick errand, work and stand on concrete for eight hours, walking 10+ miles in, hiking on trails, dancing cumbia and bachata on the dance floor, and so many other things. They handled everything well. Water was never an issue with them either, as they on several occasions held up and kept my feet dry in nearly calf deep water during some extremely heavy rain. I walked over 650 miles in these boots, wore them 161 out of the possible 183 days, went dancing 20 times in them and they just took it all and looked good while doing it. They will continue to see many more things, including in May they will be on my feet as I graduate from college, plenty more shifts at work, and of course more dance floors...."Read the full review
My first pair of truly well broken in boots

When these boots showed up at the start of October I figured what the hell. At the end of it all I am left with an incredibly comfortable pair of boots that has set the bar for break-in for me.
I wore this pair to the office at the coal mine every day from the start of the Dome til the end, working one week on and one week off. On my days off I used them for chores around the house like clearing snow, walking the dog, going to the ski hill, all in winter conditions like extreme cold and salty ice puddles. I slid across ice in these boots and tromped through snow drifts. Throughout it all my feet stayed well protected and warm. I covered them in coal laced mud traveling to the mine and wore them to every meeting and occasion at work over the course of 6 months, including a promotion.
I may not have put as much wear on them as some of my fellow Domers but I am happy to have a pair of boots that I will love to wear for years going forward...."Read the full review

One hour at the park with these at the beginning of the dome and I realized I needed to not do such activities in these as I do intend them to be more formal long term. These boots handled the wear like it was nothing and that just speaks to Peng’s craftsmanship and quality. 90% of the wear on these were in an office at a warehouse.
During the first month of wear I also took them an almost-daily mile and a half dog walks and wore them everywhere.
In month two the dog walks ended in these boots - a hurt heal helped that decision. Switched up to some super dad-style running shoes for the dog walks.
By month three I was only wearing these to work. I didn’t realize how much I’d miss all my other boots. I made it a point to wear others outside of work.
These took a bit more beating than someone who works in office would give them as I do work in a warehouse and, although most of my time is in an office now, I do get out on the floor and do some work. They may or may not have rubbed against a pallet or 7...."Read the full review
