Simple! Just chose the model, chose the custom stamping option, added it to my cart and checked out online. Had to pay quite the premium on customs import duties, but I knew what I was getting into.

This bag was a daily carry for me from home to work. It was never abused, but also not carefully pampered. It’s been used to carry my things from the car to my workplace and grocery shopping.

Durability

The leather is very durable and withstood being slung over my shoulder and being thrown into the car. I can’t say the leather has changed that much in appearance, but the suppleness and ease of using the bag has increased. The leather has maintained a hydrated, slightly oily feel so i have not felt the need to do anything to it. I keep it pretty clean and away from dirt, so not much need for brushing either. I probably brushed it four times throughout the months and it has maintained a nice luster.

The design is beautiful and well thought out. I really appreciate that the edges of the top cover the tucked opening of the bag. I have not seen many bags like this do that in their design. It was fantastic for keeping the rain and snow out of the bag and away from the inside contents. The only downside is the method of fully closing and opening the bag. The straps make it a bit tedious, so I usually just leave it open unless I absolutely feel the need to fully close it. However, I knew about that getting into it. I’m sure, with time and use, the straps will become easier and easier to clasp closed as the leather becomes more supple. The bag is made out of pretty weighty leather and the inside is lined with a durable, red nylon fabric. The outside leather doesn’t show cuts and scrapes easily, and the interior feels very tear resistant. The interior pockets allow for easy organization and the exterior pocket is great for quick access necessities. The brass hardware stands up to the constant rubbing and scraping that happens with use. No complaints! The clicking of the leather is great! There’s no inconsistency in the weight and thickness. I also love that in some lightings I can see the veining of the hide that was used. The stitching is straight, and I cannot see a stitch out of place. The finishing of the bag was beautifully done.

This bag is great! I really like the design and the leather of the bag. It’s sturdy for everyday carry, and I’m sure it could withstand way more than what I put it up for. If one is looking to get the bag, just be aware that the straps used for closing and opening the bag will need some break-in before it becomes easier to use. But that is really the only stopping point. It’s a wonderful bag and I look forward to using it for a long time to come

Valli Shoes Anfibio Model 075 in Italian Greased Cowhide
By spyder550 • April 5, 2026"These boots were purchased to support my climbing addiction. Bouldering to be specific, no ropes are used. I have long used light weight approach shoes with sticky climbing rubber, occasionally switching to some heavier gor-tex Asolo boots in snowy winter months. These new boots filled the roles of both very well. I climb every week around my home mountains averaging at least one weekend day and one or two weekday nights (night climbing throughout winter). The climbing I participate in is not the norm, the majority I do is first ascents with an emphasis on development of new areas. This means I am exploring off trail for hours to find never climbed boulders, then I have to prep them by removing moss, loose rock, and also work on the landing zone so that it is more safe. Hauling heavy loads of gear, hanging on a rope to clean and assess boulders, and moving logs and rocks under landings are where these have been put through the paces. We come home exhausted, dusty, abraided. During the non-climbing times, I wear these almost every day for the standard household/outdoor chores, and family ventures. My job as a teacher provides me with two casual days a week, which I exploit to also get more wear time. I have also taken three climbing trips in the boots, which included a high altitude venture at 12,000 feet in Telluride, Colorado, a desert trip into New Mexico, and recently an Ozarks journey in Missouri...."Read the full review
