These boots have done everything I've done over the past 6 months. Be it work, play, fun, or serious times. I've worn these boots. They've seen 90 plus degree October days. They've seen almost a foot of snow! And they have been amazing! Whether it's lugging around 500 plus pound inflatables. Or restoring houses in the off season, they've performed admirably! It's been a tremendous joy to be able to wear these Nicks x Butterscotch Triton boots!
These boots were my first waxed flesh boots. They looked incredible when I first got them! Smooth and waxy with a slight sheen to them. Over the course of the 6 months, the nap of the waxed flesh has just gradually come out with time, work, and wear. And now I think they look even better! This leather has proven to be very tough and durable! No matter the conditions it's held up immaculately! My feet haven't gotten wet at all. Even working in water and mud from time to time. Even with some of the wax wearing off, they've kept me snug and dry! Break in was a dream. The waxed flesh was tough, yet supple from the very beginning. It was a snug fit at first, but rather quickly the leather took the shape of my foot! I typically brush them up every other day or so. I have a rigorous picture taking routine. Every other day all 8 positions. I brush them before just about every session. When they did get muddy, I just simply wiped them down with a damp cloth. I have not applied any conditioner at all so far.
I've had my Nicks size nailed down for a while now. So sizing was the same as my other Nicks boots. And there were no issues at all. Snug at first, but quickly became a dream boot! The HNW has been good to me! I've always felt like it was the right last foot me. The boots offer great structure and support in all the right places.
I love the design and aesthetics of these boots. These are a colab. So there are modifications that really sparked my interest! Black Waxed Flesh with brown panel stitching. 4 row toe cap. The hardware layout was modified from 4 eye, 3 hook, 1 eye to 5 eyes and 3 hooks. With the hooks going to the top of the boot. I really enjoy this layout of the hardware. Feels better when lacing them up. The sole is a 430 mini lug with a V100 heel. It's a great combo! Feels great and offers a unique look to the boot! Everything was on point! All of the stitching was perfect! All the sanding was perfect! Top to bottom these boots were gorgeous!
The mini lug offers the best of both worlds. Traction and durability without having to worry about tracking too much mud into the house! It's a very hard wearing and durable sole. Working outside, mainly on concrete, they've held up incredibly well!
Having this heel combined with the 430 sole has been great. Zero complaints at all. Extra little bit of traction. With a unique look. They have always felt great together. Nicks did a phenomenal job making sure everything was balanced and perfectly aligned!
Nicks Handmade Boots has completely changed the way I look at, feel about, and spend on footwear! The out of this world craftsmanship is amazing! Great materials! Tough and rugged. They can certainly handle any work or play I've thrown at them over the years! Comfort on another level. I used to not be able to wait to take my boots and shoes off at the end of the work day. Now, I don't even think about it. I could easily wear these, and have, from sunrise to midnight and not even flinch. Once they've conformed to your foot, it's like no other comfort I've ever had from footwear. It's remarkable! Tommy from Butterscotch really did a great job designing a great boot with Nicks! I love the mods he came up with. They look great. Feel great. And work very well. Nicks, of course, knocked the construction out of the park! Thanks to Butterscotch and Nicks for making an amazing boot!
