From going to the store, walking and playing with the dog, and even going to Mass. These boots have trekked through woods and fields, hunting small game. Worked around my in-laws farm, checked fields, cleaned grain bins, fed steers, and repaired and moved equipment around. I have not worn them seven days in all that time, and three of those I did not wear shoes. I have worn them running errands, on road trips, to the beach, to the river, fishing on the Chesapeake Bay, to a Congressional Subcommittee hearing, to the chiropractor, out with friends, and taking care of my elderly parents. Wherever I went, my Grant Stone Nora boots went with me with my feet in them.

The Vibram mini lug sole with no slip features was very helpful. I also moved vacuum pumps to my shop for maintenance. I spend a lot of time at my desk writing software, or working on electronic equipment that is malfunctioning. I went on a trip to Michigan where I was able to do some hiking in the snow and cold. They performed very well. I could have used some slightly thicker socks though. Traction was very good in the snow as well...."Read the full review

My first pair of truly well broken in boots

When these boots showed up at the start of October I figured what the hell. At the end of it all I am left with an incredibly comfortable pair of boots that has set the bar for break-in for me.
I wore this pair to the office at the coal mine every day from the start of the Dome til the end, working one week on and one week off. On my days off I used them for chores around the house like clearing snow, walking the dog, going to the ski hill, all in winter conditions like extreme cold and salty ice puddles. I slid across ice in these boots and tromped through snow drifts. Throughout it all my feet stayed well protected and warm. I covered them in coal laced mud traveling to the mine and wore them to every meeting and occasion at work over the course of 6 months, including a promotion.
I may not have put as much wear on them as some of my fellow Domers but I am happy to have a pair of boots that I will love to wear for years going forward...."Read the full review
