I manage the facility maintenance at multiple dog kennels, and over the past six months, these boots have been on a journey. I've worn these boots while installing chainlink fence, building retaining walls, trenching, digging up old gravel for fence repairs, replacing failed sump pumps during flash flooding, replacing a well pump, water heater, troubleshooting electrical gremlins in our appliances, roof repairs, soffit and gutter repair, months of landscaping and cleanup, framing walls while renovating our kennels, concrete crack repairs, installing new drywall, waterproofing and sealing kennels, painting, light metal fabrication and welding jobs, fleet vehicle maintenance, and a host of other things. When I wasn't at work, I liked wearing these for odd jobs around the house, taking my son to parks, hiking, trips to grocery stores, etc. There really weren't many times when I didn't wear these. They've been through dry and wet conditions, cold and hot, and any combination of them. They've hiked trails in seven states, been to airshows, museums, and have helped me with my photography along the way...."Read the full review

I work on the exterior of houses so im always on rough uneven terrain and lots of trash and materials. The texas weather is very drastic. It can be hot, cold, rainy snowing in the same month. They were part of my tools because they offer protection and arch support. I loved that i could just slip them on and off in seconds. I loved the 55 heel. It really helps on the uneven terrains. I wore these to do everything in my life, from light hiking to walking in extreme weathers of wet, hot, humid and dry (Australia, baby) and they held up fairly well.
Given that the stitching and midsole are waxed when received, these keep everything below the ankle fairly dry in rain and puddles.
Sand, dirt and small rocks stay out for the most part, and they wouldn't be able to get in at all had I gotten my right size.

Best footwear I’ve put on my foot!

However I have not shied away from wearing them anywhere else. I have crossed creeks, walked beaches and hiked a few short trails. I wore these boots as my everyday shoes almost every day for 6 months but chose more appropriate footwear for serious hiking or excessive snow conditions. Whenever we get snow I wore them through the snow and they worked great. They have just enough water resistance that my foot wasn’t wet all day. I really loved how they would clean up really well when they did get dirty. You could get some mud on them, wipe em down and brush them up then wear them to the office next day. If a had a customer meeting I could throw some conditioner on em and shine them up a little...."Read the full review

I stuck to 4-5 days a week for these. I probably should have been in the open dome instead of the work dome since I ride a desk more than anything. I'm a hybrid IT worker so I generally go into the office twice a week. Add in taking care of errands on the weekend and that basically meant 3 wears a week.
