Fortis Boots
Harker Leather GMTO Wukong Monkey Boot
Fortis Boots
Cost: 450 USD
Pretty much worn for whatever I had going for the days! Works at a resort that I live at so it’s mostly outside walking and minors ground work and minor maintenance!
There really was no breaking in time for these! The fit was good from the box! I honestly didn’t care for them at all. No conditioning, some minor brushing from dirt but that’s it. Boy oh boy did they evolve incredibly and incredibly fast!!! I did have to replace laces 4 month in!
Not much to say but that the fit was one of the best I have found! I have split sized feet so it can be tricky but these nailed it! I problems at all!
These were well put together! The heel will need nailed in again soon and the speed hooks were a little weak but I managed! The laces went to shreds really quick!
Loved these soles!!
Loved these!
Man. What a fun ride this one has been! This @stitchdownpatinathunderdome was one for the books!!! Man it was a hoot!!! Life was crazy and took a few spins during this 6 months but it was a great run! The pair is a killer collaboration between @harker.leatherworks and @fortis.bootsidn and man it slays! The leather is Badalassi Olive Pueblo and the boot is a GMTO Wukong Monkey Boot! The leather is astounding and the transformation is absolutely incredible! When they started out green green I had no idea they would patina into a true olive and man the name does this leather justice! I wore them everyday except for a few and they started transforming super quickly! I wore them for casual wear and walking around the resort I live at and work for! They saw a lot of steps, some accidental lake time, a lot of wet dew from grass and the like, and a lot of running around like a mad man! I love the monkey boot style! It was dope and super fun! I did end up replacing my laces after 4 months, they were barely hanging on at the three month mark but I tried to push them! My favorite part about them is the rough out toe! Man look at it! It turned almost yellow and then burnished out like crazy becoming nearly black! The color variety and joy from that toe is amazing! My second favorite part is the color variation from where my pants rested and covered the shaft and what was exposed to the elements! The shaft still holds a slightly dark green/brown hue but the bottoms are nearly all yellow/olive! The transitions there but kind of hard to see! I dig it! My third favorite part is the rough out heel that crocked and burnished like mad! I enjoyed this Dome so much! Can’t wait to see the results and a huge shout out to the whole crew for making the dome happen and the crew for putting together such a killer boot! Aaron blew the design out of the park and Sany nailed putting it together!!! Thanks for the run! Tons of fun! ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• #stitchdownpatinathunderdome #fortisbootsidn #harkerleatherworks #birb #newdomewhodis
